Das Programm wurde von SCCA-Ljubljana produziert.
"Videodokument -Videokunst in Slowenien 1969 - 1998"
herausgegeben von Barbara Borãiç
Diese Videodokumentation, ein Projekt zur Archivierung und
Erforschung
von Videokunst in Slowenien, wurde entwickelt im Rahmen des
SCCA-Ljubljana Dokumentationsprogrammes zwischen 1994 und 2003.
Es
zeigt einen umfassenden Überblick über 30 Jahre Videokunst
in
Slowenien.
VIDEODOKUMENT enthält:
KATALOG: die Dokumentation der Künstler und deren Videoarbeiten,
umfasst insgesamt 21 Künstler und über 400 Videoarbeiten
in Wort und
Bild; eine chronologische Aufzählung der Veranstaltungen,
Kommentaren
dazu und eine Liste der Arbeiten mit Namenindex.

ESSAYS: ein Buch bestehend aus Essays über die Geschichte
und die
Verwendung von Videotechnologie in Bezug auf andere Kunst und
kulturelle Praktiken.
CD-ROM: eine interaktive Form der Präsentation, elektronischer
Art,
mit Inhalten des Kataloges und der Essays, in einer repräsentativeren
Form: handliches Datenformat, mehr Bildmaterial, Querverweise
und
Filme im AVI-Daten-Format.
WEBSEITE: (www.videodokument.org) die interaktive Darstellung
des
Projektes mit einigen maßgeblichen Anteilen der Inhalte
im Internet,
welche Material des Dokumentationskataloges und Einführungen
in die
Texte der Essaysammlung beinhaltet und eine Liste lanciert, welche
zeigt, wie hoch die Dichte der Videoarbeiten von einzelnen Künstlern
in den jeweiligen Jahren und Zeiten war.

in den
Datenformen Beta SP, DVD, mini DV, U-matic, VHS.
"Eyedentify Yourself"
Thematisches Videoprogramm, kuratiert von TevÏ Logar
"Eyedentify Yourself" wurde im Rahmen von
VIDEOSPOTTING erarbeitet, in
welchem SCCA-Ljubljana eine Reihe von Videoarbeiten von slowenischen
Künstlern auswählte, und damit eine systematische Erforschung
von
Videoproduktionen abschloss, das mit "Videodokument"
begann.
"Eydentify Yourself" zeigt eine ausgewählte
Videoproduktion der
letzten drei Jahre. Der Schwerpunkt hierbei liegt auf einer jungen
Generation slowenischer Künstler und deren persönlicher
Haltung zu dem
Thema Identität.
Im täglichen Leben sind wir mit zahlreichen, verschiedenen
Identitäten
konfrontiert. Mehr noch, unsere eigene Identität unterzieht
sich
unaufhörlichen Veränderungen, wird verändert,
verwandelt...unsere
persönliche Identität handelt mit der Frage nach dem
Ich, mit den
eigenen Problemen, andauernden Fragen, Identität im Wandel
der Zeit.
Doch das Wort Identität umfasst noch viel mehr und ist verknüpft
mit
weit mehr als nur der eigenen Ich -Identität. Es gibt soziale,
politische, philosophische, künstlerische...Identitäten.
Dementsprechend muss es viele verschiedene Ansichten von Identität
geben, welche ebenfalls in dem thematischen Videoprogramm "Eydentify
Yourself" behandelt und wahrgenommen werden.

SCCA-Ljubljana bietet einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Unterstützung
zeitgenössischer Kunst und Kultur und der bürgerlichen
Gesellschaft.

This documentation, archival and research project on video
art in
Slovenia has been developed within the scope of the SCCA-Ljubljana
Documentation Program between 1994 and 2003. It presents a
comprehensive overview of thirty years of video art in Slovenia.
VIDEODOKUMENT comprises:

presenting
21 artists, more than 400 video works in text and picture; chronology

of

ESSAYS, a book of essays on the history and usage of video
technology
and in relation to other art and culture practices
CD-ROM, an interactive presentation on the electronic support
with the
contents from the catalogue and the book of essays presented
in a more
representational form: reduced data files, more visual material,
cross-references, AVI movies.
WEB SITE (www.videodokument.org), an interactive presentation
of the
project with some representative parts of the contents on the
Internet
that includes the material from the Documentation catalogue,
introduces the texts from the Book of Essays and launches the
timetable
with the intention of showing the density of video works by individual
artists in specific years and periods.
STUDY ARCHIVE, video works by Slovene artists on Beta SP,
DVD, mini
DV, U-matic, VHS format.
Eyedentify Yourself
Thematic Video program curated by TevÏ Logar
Eyedentify Yourself has been produced in frame of VIDEOSPOTTING,
the
SCCA-Ljubljana selected programs of video works by artists from
Slovenia that has been continuing a systematic research of video
production started with Videodokument.
Eydentify Yourself presents the selected video production
of last
three years. It is focused on a young generation of Slovenian
artists
and their personal attitude towards the theme of identity. In
everyday
life we are confronted with different identities. Moreover, our
identity is submitted to unceasing changes, modifications,
transformations, our personal identity deals with questions about
ourselves, our problems, persistence question, identity through
time.
But the spectrum of the word identity is much wider and relates
to
more than just a personal identity. There are social, political,
philosophical, artistic identities. Consequently, there exist
a lot of
different views on identity which is also perceived through the
thematic video program Eydentify Yourself.
Presented artists are: Nika Autor, Nataa Berk, Vesna Bukovec,
Lada Cerar,
TomaÏ Furlan, Robertina ·ebjaniã, TomaÏ
TomaÏin and Metka Zupaniã.
The program has been produced by SCCA-Ljubljana, a non-governmental
and non-profit organisation based in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
