Die Andere Moderne - De Chirico / Savinio

 

Der Katalog (320 S., 240 Abb., z. T farbig, DM 49,- im Museumshop) erscheint im Hatje Cantz Verlag, Stuttgart, mit Beiträgen von: Paolo Baldacci, Maurizio Fagiolo dell'Arco, Helmut Friedel, Andrea Grewe, Magdalena Holzhey, Pia Müller-Tamm, Gerd Roos, Wieland Schmied, Monika Steinhauser, Pia Vivarelli, Armin Zweite.

Die Ausstellung steht unter der Schirmherrschaft von Prof. Dr. Julian Nida-Rümelin, Staatsminister für Kultur und Medien der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, und des Italienischen Außenministers Ambasciatore Renato Ruggiero. Sie war in der Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen in Düsseldorf vom 15. September bis 2. Dezember 2001 zu sehen.

The Other Modernism - De Chirico / Savinio

"The other modernity - de Chirico/Savinio" has brought works from numerous international museums and major private collections together. The exhibition juxtaposes some 100 works by de Chirico - the greater part stemming from the metaphysical period between 1909 and 1919 - with a concentrated selection of roughly 30 paintings by Savinio.

The catalogue (320 pp., 240 illus., many in colour, DM 49,- in the museumshop) is published by the Hatje Cantz Verlag of Stuttgart, with articles by: Paolo Baldacci, Maurizio Fagiolo dell'Arco, Helmut Friedel, Andrea Grewe, Magdalena Ho1zhey, Pia MOller-Tamm, Gerd Roos, Wieland Schmied, Monika Steinhauser, Pia Vivarelli, and Armin Zweite.

The exhibition is held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Julian Nida-Rümelin, Minister of State for Culture and Media of the Federal Republic of Germany, and the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambasciatore Renato Ruggiero. It was on view in the Kunstsammlung North Rhine-Westphalia in Düsseldorf from September 15 to December 2, 2001.
