Einführung:
Das Werk des ungarisch, französischen Architekten Yona Friedman
(1923 geboren in Budapest, lebt in Paris) ist der Ausgangspunkt
dieser Ausstellung. Der Titel der Ausstellung bezieht sich auf
das gleichnamige Buch von Friedman, welches sich der prekären
Natur einer modernen Gesellschaft widmet und kreative Vorschläge
macht um den Problemen zu begegnen, die durch Hyper-Konsum und
kapitalistische Strukturen von sozialer und räumlicher Organisation
hervorgehen. Friedman erregte Aufsehen mit seinem Manifest "L'
Architecture Mobile" (Mobile Architektur) und seinem Plan
für eine utopische Stadt "La Ville Spatiale" (Die
räumliche Stadt). Seine Ideen gehen weit über die Architektur
hinaus und in Bereiche wie Soziologie, Wirtschaft, Mathematik,
Informatik, Planung, Kunst und Film.
Friedmans Schriften sind heute einflussreiche architektonische
Konzepte, ausgehend von einem kapitalistischen und wirtschaftlichen
Modell in einem Staat mit generalisierter Armut. Yona Friedman
macht Vorschläge für das Unvorhergesehene, bietet die
Mittel und das Wissen damit Menschen ihre eigene Lebensumwelt
bestimmen, sich aneignen und wieder erfinden können und
über das normative, funktionale Vermögen mit neuen
gesellschaftlichen Formen den eigenen Wohnbereich zu gestalten
hinausgehen.
Entsprechend zu Friedmans Methode sich die Architektur als kreatives
Werkzeug anzueignen, durch die Erstellung von "do-it-yourself"
-Bedienungsanleitungen, Instruktionen und Rezepten, wird sich
die Ausstellung dem eigentlichen, kreativen Prozesses widmen,
welcher Strategien von Mobilität und Überleben mit
einbezieht. Grundsätzlich geht es darum, wie die Kunstwerke
ihren ursprünglichen Kontext "überleben".
Die Künstler werden mit den "Spuren" und "Überresten"
von Performances und Aktionen arbeiten. In diesem Projekt wird
die "Spur" einer privilegierten Recherche unterzogen.
Eines der gemeinsamen Materialmerkmale der ausgestellten Werke
ist "Leichtigkeit" und Ökonomie der zur Verfügung
stehenden Mittel. Ob sie aus wiederverwerteten Materialien, Stoff,
Objekten oder Papier hergestellt oder von audiovisueller Natur
sind; sie sind einfach zu transportieren und das ermöglicht
ein improvisiertes und flexibles Erarbeiten und Präsentieren.
Die teilnehmenden und performativen Aspekte der Arbeiten sind
in diesem Projekt maßgebend. "Alle Künstler haben
etwas gemeinsam. Sie träumen davon etwas zu tun, das sozialer,
gemeinschaftlicher und realer ist wie Kunst" Dan Graham.
Mit "Architektur des Überlebens" möchten
wir passend zu den künstlerische, sozial utopischen Gedankengängen
eine gewisse "kritische Distanz" kreieren und ein Ausstellungsmodel
in Zusammenhang mit dem Publikum entwerfen.
Kunstwerke:
Agency: (1992 gegründet in Brüssel) erstellt
eine Liste von quasi Dingen: Dinge, die eine Verklärung/Unklarheit
beschreiben in Bezug auf die Aufteilung der Natur in die Klassifizierungen
"Natur" und "Kultur". 1993 Publications International
Ltd. veröffentlichte ein Buch mit auf Joghurt basierenden
Rezepten genannt "Dannon Healthy Habit Cookbook".
("Dannon gesunde Gewohnheit Kochbuch"). Sehr bald entfachte
ein Konflikt, die Herausgeber Meredith Corp. behaupteten, dass
Publications International 26 Rezepte aus dem Kochbuch "Discover
Dannon" ("Entdecke Dannon") kopierte. In dem darauf
folgenden Prozess Publications International Ltd. versus Meredith
Corp. stellten die Richter fest, dass «die Rezepte in "Discover
Dannon" nicht die kleinste Menge des schöpferischen
Ausdruckes enthalten" das heißt, die Originalität
welche die sine qua non/absolute Notwendigkeit des Copyrights
ist - . Rezepte sind eine Kombination von "Identifikation
der Zutaten" (Natur) und "Angaben der Zubereitung"
und können nur durch eine sehr gewisse Form des Schreibens
den Schutz des Copyrights erlangen. Am 27 April 2008 wird die
Probe 0848 Zeugnis ablegen für eine Versammlung von betroffenen
Köchen, Schreibern, Herausgeber, Anwälte, usw, in der
kulinarische Buchhandlung Kochlust, Alte Schönhauser Str.
36-37, Berlin.
Die Arbeiten von Jofroi Amaral (geboren 1978, B, lebt
in Berlin) funktionieren als Elemente, die mit verschiedenen
Dingen assoziiert werden können und dadurch eine neue Bedeutung
erlangen. Den Zelt-Unterschlupf, den er zeigen wird, wird direkt
vor dem Video von NG platziert und so ein schützendes Obdach
für die Köpfe der Besucher bieten. Das kleine Zelt
und die Kissen sind hergestellt aus wieder verwerteten Leinwänden
und Plastik, sie sind weiß und reflektieren das Licht im
Raum. Der kosmologische Gehalt der Arbeit ist sehr bedeutungsvoll.
Vaast Colson (geboren 1977, B, lebt in Antwerpen) befasst
sich mit dem Umfeld, dem er in einer Ausstellung ausgesetzt ist.
Er hat keine Arbeiten im herkömmlichen Sinne zur Verfügung.
Die Arbeiten, die er ausstellt, sind meistens Überreste
einer Performance. In seinen sichtlich sehr einfachen Handlungen
bringt er Fragen über ein soziales Netzt auf und den "Back
to Basics" Ansatz der 70er. Zum Beispiel während einer
seiner Performances bittet er einen indischen Blumenverkäufer
seinen kleinstädtischen Preis für Freie Kunst entgegenzunehmen
und eine Rede zu halten. Für sein Projekt in Berlin wird
er ebenfalls eine gewisse zeitgenössische Kunst Situation
konfrontieren, wir haben im Moment noch keine genaueren Details
darüber.
Fabien Defendini (geboren 1978, F, lebt in Brüssel):
Architektur als eine Wahrnehmung von Zeit zu erachten als ein
gebrauchtes Objekt von Raum als eine soziale Praxis. Die Idee
ist ein Bild eines Gebäudes über ein anderes zu projektieren,
eine Gegenüberstellung von zwei Zeiten/Räumen. Der
Künstler wird auch eine weiteren Kontext durch seine Stimme
hinzufügen, in einem Versuch seine Berufung zu testen, wird
er über einen politischen Diskurs sprechen, welcher in seiner
Ausübung längst vergessen sein mag.
Delphine Deguislage (geboren 1980, B, lebt in Antwerpen)
wird eine Installation im größten Fenster der Ausstellung
anbringen. Mit farbigem Klebeband wird sie farbige Formen kreieren,
die den öffentlichen Raum mit dem Galerieraum verbinden.
Sie benutzt sehr einfache Materialien und Bearbeitungen und bittet
das Publikum sein tägliches Umfeld an einem neuen Tag zu
betrachten.
Simon Denicolai (geboren 1972, I, lebt in Brüssel)
& Ivo Provoost (geboren 1974, B, lebt in Brüssel):
Viele von Denicolai und Provoosts Eingriffen (Video, Installation,
architektonische Interventionen und Eingriffe im öffentlichen
Raum) rühren von der Frage des identitären Raumes
ob es eine mentale, sozial-ökologische oder physische Auffassung
ist eines Individuums in einer Gesellschaft. Als erstes
soziales Element, die primäre Quelle von Gegenüberstellung
und Austausch mit Alterität, steht das Paar, welches in
ihrem Falle der kreative Kern ist. Die Unterscheidung zwischen
öffentlicher und privater Sphäre ist oft sichtlich
verwischt. Für "Architectures of Survival"
haben sie eine Performance entworfen:
Die Verbreitung einer Nachricht, in Gedanken ein Bild so lange
zu beschreiben bis es mehr Glaubwürdigkeit erlangt, als
seine eigentliche Wirklichkeit. Sie reagieren auch auf die additive
und mobile Strategie unseres Projektes.
Yona Friedman (geboren 1923, Budapest, lebt in Paris)
verteilt Bedienungsanweisungen für Gebäudestrukturen,
Skulpturen, Schutzdächer, die in öffentlichen Räumen
mit Hilfe von Komplot gebaut werden.
Laure Gatelier (geboren 1976, F, lebt in Brüssel)
wird mit der Erinnerung von Berlin arbeiten, sie wird einige
der Hauptclichés dieser Stadt reaktivieren wie zum Beispiel
die Kugeleinschüsse, die man noch sehr lange an den Mauern
sehen konnte.
Agnes Geoffray (geboren 1976, F, lebt in Brüssel)
packt wie sie es nennt die "legendäre Grausamkeit"
an. Sie erforscht die dunkle Seite unserer Psyche, gleichzeitig
untersucht sie die Grenze zwischen Realität und Fiktion.
Dabei recycelt und überarbeitet sie Bilder und Geschichten
die sie in den "Vermischten Meldungen" der Medien findet.
Sie eignet sich die Bilder als eine Metapher für eine übliche
Strategie des Überlebens an, welcher wir uns zu einem gewissen
Grad alle bedienen. Für Geoffroy, sind Fiktionen einfach
mögliche Realitäten. In ihrer Installation für
dieses Projekt benutzt sie Bilder, die als zu gewalttätig
erachtet wurden um veröffentlicht zu werden.
Ella Klaschka (geboren 1969, D, lebt in Berlin und Paris):
Ein Poster ist das erste was man an einer Wand aufhängt
um sich in einer neuen Umgebung Zuhause zu fühlen. Poster
definieren eine subjektive Beziehung zwischen Menschen und Architektur.
Beiläufig in einer Stadt angebracht, triggern sie den Passanten.
Posters sind Ideen, Slogans, Bilder in Bewegung. Sie stehen für
etwas anderes: An die Wand gepinnt in einem Teenager-Zimmer bedeuten
sie...
Nathalie Mertens (geboren 1969, B, lebt in Brüssel):
"Königin der Nacht" ist der Name von schwarzen
Tulpen, welche die Künstlerin diesen Winter unter Schildern
in einem Stadtpark in Berlin Mitte gepflanzt hat mit der Idee,
dass die Schilder eine Verdoppelung erhalten: durch die Anwesenheit
der schwarzen Tulpe signalisieren sie zudem, dass hier eine Pflanze
steht, über die man nicht gehen darf. Die Tulpen werden
Ende April blühen, auch möglicherweise auf dem Gras
vor der Niederländischen Botschaft und vor dem Rem Koolhaas
Gebäude. Briefliche Anfragen an die Botschaft und Fotografien
von der Pflanzung werden ebenfalls Teil des Projektes sein.
NG (geboren 1968, F, lebt überall): der Film "
Limits of Paradies: Free Solo" zeigt die Künstlerin
wie sie in einer Landschaft umhergeht (Schnee bedeckte Berge,
post-industrielle Uferzonen, wilde Natur...) sie isst, was sie
zum überleben findet (Kräuter, Gräser, Pflanzen...).
Begleitend zum Film gibt es Zeichnungen und ein geschriebenes
Statement, welches alle sehr bescheidenen Mittel zur Reise und
Unterkunft beschreibt (Hängematte, Zelt..). NG wird auch
einen Vortrag halten, "Break Hotel", in welchem sie
über kurze Gesprächsausschnitte spricht, die davon
handeln, wie sie lebt, arbeitet und sozusagen als "Obdachlose"
Künstlerin von Künstler-Stipendium zu Stipendium zieht.
Yan Renand (geboren 1979, F, lebt in Brüssel) wird
einen Koffer voller Objekte mitbringen, die zu diesem Anlass
aus seinem "Schimmel" kreiert wurden. "Schimmel"
ist der allgemeine Titel seiner aktuellen Arbeit. Renand arbeitet
jeden Tag mit Objekten, die er findet und umwandelt indem er
zum Beispiel Plastiksäcke mit Farbe vermischt, Nahrungsmitteln,
Pflanzen darin wachsen lässt. Der Prozess von Leben und
Tod in seiner Arbeit ist ziemlich verblüffend, ein Zelebrieren
von Zerbrechlichkeit. Renand wird auch seine Strickarbeit aus
Plastikbändern vorführen.
Kurt Ryslavy (geboren 1961, A, lebt in Brüssel):
"Europäer" ist ein Buch in welchem der Künstler
die Geschichte von der Beziehung seiner Kunst und seines Weinhandels
erzählt. Wie beide Aktivitäten einander beeinflussen,
wie er mit dem Weinhandel angefangen hat um als Künstler
zu überleben, wie Alkohol die soziale Verbindung sein kann
und wie diese Doppelbeschäftigung ihn in beiden Milieus
seltsam aussehen lässt. Der komplette autobiografische Text
ist in 36 europäische Sprachen übersetzt, ergibt so
ein europäisches Tableau oder Portrait eines modernen Malers.
Der Künstler wird den Wein servieren in seinem gewohnten
Geschäftsanzug... er wird nicht nur leere Flaschen und Farbspritzer
zurücklassen.
StudioBasar (Gegründet in Bukarest 2004): das Architektenduo
wird ihre Plakate "Evakuierung des Gespenstes" verteilen,
die Zeitung erzählt von kreativen Möglichkeiten nach
der Vertreibung aus Häuser durch den Kommunismus in Rumänien.
Dieses Problem des Überlebens in einem auf Besitz basierenden
Gesellschaft deckt größere Themen der Marginalisierung
auf und bekommt eine symbolische Annäherung durch die Namen
der beiden Architekten: Bocan bedeutet "suchen" und
Axinte bedeutet "retten".
Kevin van Braak (geboren 1975, NL, lebt in Rotterdam)
& Rossella Biscotti (geboren 1978, I, lebt in Rotterdam)
laden den Architekten Bart Schoonderbeek für "das
gute Leben" ein. Das Projekt "das gute Leben"
ist von dem homonymen Buch des Architekten Inaki Abalos inspiriert,
welches zum Reisen in der Imagination einlädt, das Vergnügen
zu denken, planen und intensiv leben anregt, ermutigt ein Haus
zu erfinden, das es noch nicht gibt. Das Projekt untersucht die
Beziehung von architektonischen Elementen eines Hauses und der
Konstruktion eines Filmsets. Die Mobilität des Filmsets
ermöglicht die fixen Strukturen eines Hauses zu durchbrechen
und neue Wege auszukundschaften wie Menschen ihre Umgebung nutzen
können. "Das gute Leben" beinhaltet die Planung
einer tatsächlichen Konstruktion eines Hauses/Struktur,
das dazu da ist die Hauptrolle in einem Film zu spielen. Es wird
ein Film sein, indem die Bewegungen der dortigen Bewohner/Akteure
in dem Haus das Gebäude austesten und die Gestaltung und
architektonischen Elementen in eine experimentelle Form bringen.
Salento, in Puglia im Süden Italiens, wird der Ort für
dieses Projekt sein.
Die Closing Party wird von Pauline Doutrlingne geplant: Bloody

EINE KREATIVE GESELLSCHAFT WIRD UNS NICHT RETTEN ABER SIE WIRD
UNS ZEIGEN WIE MAN ÜBERLEBT
Ein Anlass der einst sehr weit entfernt in Bejing bei einem Kaffeekränzchen
entstand, ist mittlerweile in einen kompletten Sonntag von Feierlichkeiten
mutiert und ist den ganzen Weg bis nach Berlin geflogen. Musik
ist nicht der einzige aber der Hauptbestandteil von Bloody Sunday.
Neben einer großartigen Musikauswahl zusammengestellt von
DJ T-Ina Darling (dubstep), Dj mellow yellow (electro mashed
potatoes) und einer spezial Performance von Miss Le Bomb, bietet
Bloody Sunday auch Videovorführungen, Magazine und andere
Überraschungen.

INTRODUCTION:
The work of Hungarian architect Yona Friedman (b. 1923,
Budapest, lives in Paris) is the starting point for this exhibition
with the title itself being a reflexive reference to Friedman's
1975 book 'Architecture Of Survival' (MIT Press, USA). The book
looks at the precarious nature of modern society and suggests
creative strategies for countering the problems thrown up by
hyper-consumption and capitalist modes of spatial and social
organisation. Friedman rose to prominence with his manifesto
'L'Architecture Mobile' ('Mobile Architecture', 1958) and plan
for a utopian city 'La Ville Spatiale' ('The Spatial City', 1959);
his ideas led him beyond architecture and to engagement with
sociology, economics, mathematics, information science, planning,
visual art and film-making. Today, his writings have become influential
as architectural concepts which take as their starting point
the perspective of those existing in a state of generalised poverty
within capitalist economic model. He proposes structures for
the unpredictable, providing the means and ways for people to
determine, re-appropriate and re-invent their own living environment
beyond the normative functional ability of new social forms to
shape their own living spaces.
Relative to Friedman's method of re-appropriating architecture
as a creative tool -through the creation of "do it yourself"
manuals, instructions and recipes- the exhibition will articulate
the way in which the actual creative process integrates the notions
of survival and mobility. Fundamentally, how the artworks 'survive'
their original context. The artist's work will deal with 'traces'
and 'remains' of performances and actions, this being an area
of investigation privileged in the project, the participative
and performative aspects of the works being crucial within this
context. One of the common material characteristics of the works
exhibited is 'lightness' and economy of means. Whether they are
constructed from recuperated material, fabric, objects or paper
or are audio-visual, they are designed to be easily transportable
allowing improvisational flexibility of creation and presentation.

With 'Architecture Of Survival', there is the creation of a certain
'critical distance' apropos artistic social utopian trains of
though and a desire to revive the exhibition model and its relationship
with the spectator.
WORKS:
Agency (founded Brussels, 1992) constitutes a list of
quasi things: things that witness hesitation in terms of the
bifurcation of nature into classifications of 'nature' and 'culture'.
In 1993, Publications International Ltd. published a book of
yogurt-based recipes called "Dannon Healthy Habit Cookbook".
Soon after, a conflict arouse wherein the publishing house Meredith
Corp. claimed Publications International Ltd. copied 26 of its
recipes from its cookbook "Discover Dannon". During
the ensuing court case Publications International Limited v.
Meredith Corporation, the judges stated that "the recipes
contained in 'Discover Dannon' do not contain even a bare modicum
of the creative expression-i.e., the originality-- that is the
sine qua non of copyright". Recipes are considered a combination
of "identification of ingredients" (nature) and "directions
for preparations", and may only in certain forms of writing
merit the protection of copyright (culture). 'Specimen 0848'
will bear witness on April 27th 2008 to an assembly of concerned
cooks, writers, publishers, lawyers, etc., at the culinary bookshop
Kochlust, Alte Schönhauser Str. 36-37, Berlin.
The works of Jofroi Amaral (b. 1978, B, lives in Berlin)
function as associative elements that can create new meaning.
The tent/shelter he exhibits will be situated in front of a video
by NG, to provide a shelter for the viewer's head. Made out of
recuperated canvas and plastic, the small tent and pillow are
white and shiny, reflecting the ambient light. The cosmological
dimension of the work is pregnant with implications.
Vaast Colson (b. 1977, B, lives in Antwerp) deals with
the environment he is exposed to in the context of an exhibition.
He creates no 'art work' in the traditional sense. The works
exhibited often consists of the remains of a performance. In
his seemingly simple actions, he touches on questions about social
network we inhabit, and 'back to basics' approaches. For example,
during one of his performances, Colson asked an Indian flower-seller
to receive his provincial price for contemporary art, and make
a speech. For the project in Berlin, he will also engage in a
confrontation with a contemporary art situation, that we're yet
unfamiliar with at this moment.
Fabien Defendini (b. 1978, F, lives in Brussels): Considering
architecture as the perception of time as a object utilised and
of space as a social practice, the artists idea is to project
an image of a building upon another, juxtaposing two time/spaces.

own voice, trying to test his vocation to articulate a political
discourse that may be forgotten as simply an 'exercise'.
Delphine Deguislage (b. 1980, B, lives in Antwerp) will
create an installation in the main window of Sparwasser by using
coloured tape as a base material to create forms which link public
space to the exhibition space. Using very simple materials and
processes, she asks the public to look at their everyday environment
in a new way.
Simona Denicolai (b.1972, I, lives in Brussels) &
Ivo Provoost (b. 1974, B, lives in Brussels): Many of the
artists interventions (video, installations, architectural and
public space) originate from a questioning of the 'identity sphere'
-whether it is mental, socio-economical or physical acceptation-
of the individual in society. And the first social cell, the
primary source of confrontation and exchange with otherness is
the couple, which in their case is their creative nucleus. Distinction
between public and private spheres is therefore often consciously
blurred. React to the additive and mobile strategy of the project,
they develop a performative concept: the dissemination of an
announcement, describing a mental image, repeated until this
image attains more street credibility than its actualisation.
Yona Friedman (b. 1923, Budapest, lives in Paris) will
distribute manuals for building structures, sculptures, and shelters.
Komplot will assist in constructing these in public space.
Laure Gatelier (b. 1977, B, lives in Brussels) will work
with the 'memory of Berlin' and reactivate some long-standing
clichés such as impacts of bullets, which can still be
viewed on walls around the city.
Agnès Geoffray (b. 1976, F, lives in Brussels)
tackles what she calls "legendary cruelty". She explores
the dark side of our psyche, alongside an investigation of the
borders between reality and fictional world. In doing so, she
often recycles and reworks images or stories from "faits
divers" she comes across in the media. She appropriates
them as a metaphor of a common strategy of survival we all, to
a certain extent, resort to. For Geoffray, fictions are just
possible realities. Her installation for this project uses images
considered too violent to be published.
Ella Klaschka (b. 1969, D, lives in Berlin and Paris):
A poster is the first thing one puts onto the wall to feel 'at
home' in a new environment. Posters define subjective relations
between human beings and architecture. Randomly put up in cities,
they trigger the passer-by. Posters are ideas, slogans, and images
in motion. They stand for something else: Put up in a teenager's
bedroom they are...
Nathalie Mertens (b. 1969, B, lives in Brussels):'Queen
of the Night' is the name of black tulips that the artist planted
this winter under signs in the Stadtpark next to Mitte with the
idea that they will duplicate the signs representing black tulip,
indicating the presence of plants that cannot be walked on. The
tulips will grow end of April also possibly on the grass of the
Dutch Embassy, in front of Rem Koolhaas building. Letters of
request to the Embassy and photos of the tulip planting will
be integrated into the project.
NG (b. 1968, F, lives everywhere): The video 'Limits Of
Paradise: Free Solo' shows the artist exploring different landscapes
(snowy mountain, post-industrial river side, wild nature) eating
what she finds for the purpose of survival (herbs, bays, plants).
The video will be accompanied by her drawing and text 'Statement'
showing all the means of travelling and lodging that she uses
on her frugal travels (hammock, tent,). NG will also present
a lecture 'Break Hotel' in which she recalls snatches of conversations
she has had on how she lives, works and moves as a "homeless"
artist from one residency to the next project.
Yan Renand (b. 1979, F, lives in Brussels) will bring
a suitcase full of objects created for the occasion out of 'Moldiness',
the generic title of his current work. Renand works with objects
he finds and creates a process of transformation by mixing painting,
food, growing vegetation in plastic bags. The process of life
and death in the work is a striking element, celebrating the
fragility of things. Renand will also do a 'knitting' performance
using plastic strings.
Kurt Ryslavy (b. 1961, Austria, lives in Brussels): 'Europäer'
is a book in which the artist tells the story of the relationship
between his art and his wine-business. How both activities influence
each other, how he started the business to survive as an artist,
how alcohol creates social links and how this double life can
make him look strange in both milieus - all this presented in
the form of an autobiographical text translated in 36 European
languages, providing a European tableau or portrait of a modern
painter. The artist will serve wine wearing his business-suit
... he will leave not only empty bottles and artistic drips.
StudioBasar (Founded in Bucharest, 2004): This duo of architects
will distribute their posters 'Evicting the Ghost' which are
concerned with creative engagement with the issue of housing
eviction after the fall of Communism in Romania. This problem
of survival in the pro(s)perty based society revealing larger
issues about marginalisation is approached through the symbolic
meaning of the team's name: STUDIOBASAR - which B (from Borcan)
A (from Axinte) and SAR (from the acronym search-and-rescue).
Kevin van Braak (b. 1975, NL, lives in Rotterdam) &
Rossella Biscotti (b. 1978, ITA, lives in Rotterdam) invite
the architect Bart Schoonderbeek to participate in 'The
Good Life', a project inspired by the homonymous book of architect
Inaki Abalos which invites one to travel in the imagination,
to stimulate the pleasure of thinking, to plan and living intensively,
to encourage the invention of a house that doesn't exist yet.
The project explores the relationship between the architectural
elements of a house and the construction of a movie set. The
mobility of the set allows the rupture of the fixed structure
of a house and starts a process of exploration in which new ways
are formulated for people to use the environment. 'The Good Life'
involves the design and the actual building of a house/structure
that becomes the main character of a movie. It's going to be
a movie where the movement of the local community/actors inside
the house will test and push the design of the architectural
elements towards experimental shapes. Salento, which is in the
region Puglia in the South of Italy, will be the location of
the project.

P.P. Pasolini veröffentlichte 1974 Erotische Geschichten
aus 1001 Nacht (Il fiore delle mille e una notte), den letzten
Film seiner Trilogie des Lebens und seinen vorletzten überhaupt.
Geoffey Garrison hat während seines Fellowships im Künstlerhaus
Büchsenhausen an einem Drehbuch gearbeitet, das die Rahmenerzählung
aus Pasolinis Erotischen Geschichten aus 1001 Nacht in einen
dystopischen Sci-Fi-B-Movie in die Zukunft versetzt. Das Video
An Infinite Night stellt Szenen aus dem Drehbuch mit einem essayistischen
Blick auf die Geschichte und den Kontext des Films sowie die
ursprünglichen Erzählungen zusammen.
In 1974 P.P. Pasolini released The Arabian Nights (Il fiore
delle mille e una notte), the last film of his Trilogy of Life
and the second to last film he ever made. During his Fellowship
at Künstlerhaus Büchsenhausen, Geoffrey Garrison worked
on a screenplay adapting the frame tale from Pasolini's Arabian
Nights into a dystopian Sci Fi B-movie. The short video, An Infinite
Night, interweaves scenes from this screenplay with an essayistic
look at the history and context of the film and the original
stories.

Kaffeekränzchen entstand, ist mittlerweile in einen kompletten
Sonntag von Feierlichkeiten mutiert und ist den ganzen Weg bis
nach Berlin geflogen. Musik ist nicht der einzige aber der Hauptbestandteil
von Bloody Sunday. Neben einer großartigen Musikauswahl
zusammengestellt von DJ T-Ina Darling (dubstep), Dj mellow yellow
(electro mashed potatoes) und einer spezial Performance von Miss
Le Bomb, bietet Bloody Sunday auch Videovorführungen, Magazine
